Fusion 360

Thanks for reaching out. I was just going through this workflow with our 3D artist yesterday. Got the exterior of the car uploaded in one model, exporting the undercarriage separately. Here's a breakdown for the workflow.

1. Export the model from Fusion 360 as an OBJ file

Material names and RGB values (if possible) you assign in Fusion should translate to Glossi well.

2. Import the OBJ into Blender / 3ds Max and

Remove unnecessary or hidden geometry.

  1. Lower the poly count if size is an issue (we have a 100mb upload limit)

  2. Apply base materials to make assigning in Glossi easier (your material names came through perfectly!).

  3. Export the cleaned-up model as a USDZ file.

3. Import the USDZ into Glossi.

  1. Use material names to assign or tweak materials in Glossi.
