Import from 3D tools
Import from a 3D tool
Use a supported plugin or export guide to move product work from its authoring tool into Glossi.
Glossi's app plugins let you send models to your workspace directly from your 3D software - no manual export, browser upload, or file juggling. You export once inside the tool you already use, and the model arrives in your Glossi library processed and ready to render.
Available plugins
| App | What it does | |
|---|---|---|
| Blender | Exports your scene or selection as GLB and uploads it | Download · Guide |
| 3ds Max | Converts V-Ray materials to PBR, exports a clean GLB, and uploads it | Guide |
| CLO 3D | Exports your garment as GLB via CLO's export dialog and uploads it | Download · Guide |
| KeyShot | Exports your scene as GLB with baked PBR materials and uploads it | Download · Guide |
How it works
Every plugin follows the same flow:
- Connect once - paste a workspace API key into the plugin. The plugin confirms the connection by showing your workspace name.
- Upload - click the upload button in the plugin. It exports a Glossi-ready GLB and pushes it to your workspace.
- Render - the model appears in Library > Models, processed and READY. Open it in the Studio or use it in templates and automations like any other model.
Uploads count toward your plan's model limit, the same as uploading through the web app.
Getting an API key
- In Glossi, open Workspace Settings > API Keys.
- Click Create API Key, give it a name (e.g. "Blender"), and copy the key - it's shown only once.
- Paste it into the plugin's API key field.
The key is stored locally on your machine and scoped to your workspace. You can revoke it at any time from the same settings page.
