Review product direction before production

Product visualization is most useful when it improves a decision before physical production locks it in. Glossi gives the team a shared, editable scene where product state and presentation can be reviewed together.

Prepare the decision surface

The 3D source should expose the parts and states the team intends to discuss. Before the review:

  • confirm scale and orientation
  • separate meaningful product regions
  • map the materials or finishes under review
  • include supported modeled options or poses
  • save camera views that reveal the decision clearly

The goal is not to make every internal mesh editable. It is to make the important product choices legible.

Review CMF direction

Use Studio to compare color, material, and finish under a controlled light and camera. Save accepted materials to the library so the decision has a reusable source beyond a screenshot.

Glass and transparent surfaces require dedicated review. Inspect reflections, transmission, edges, and how the material behaves against the intended background.

Edit product materials

Compare product configurations

Use modeled variants, options, or poses where the source product supports them. Keep the scene and camera stable while changing the product state so reviewers can isolate the decision.

Work with model variants

Capture the review

Render the exact views needed for the decision. Keep comments attached to the relevant version and visual region. A resolved comment should make clear which product state was accepted and which source must change.

Glossi supports authenticated region comments, but it does not currently provide a complete guest approval workflow or a unified approval queue.

Review versions and comments

Carry accepted direction forward

Save the reviewed scene as a template when its lighting, views, and context should be reused for another prototype or product. Save accepted finishes as materials. The next review can begin from known direction instead of reconstructing the room.

Success state

The review is successful when the team can name the accepted product configuration, finish, and view, and the reusable assets behind that decision remain available for the next iteration.
