Using Glossi StudioPhoto Mode
Managing Bookmarks
Bookmarks are saved camera setups that remember everything about how you're viewing your model — camera position and angle, focal length, focus, exposure settings, and product positioning. They're at the core of Photo mode's efficiency.
Creating Bookmarks
To create a new bookmark:
- Use the viewport controls to position your camera — orbit, pan, and zoom until you have the angle you want.
- Adjust camera settings in the right sidebar — focal length, exposure, and depth of field.
- Click "+ New Bookmark" in the bookmark panel at the bottom.
- Enter a descriptive name (e.g., "Front Detail", "Top Down View").
Your camera position and all current settings are saved. The new bookmark will appear in the panel with a thumbnail preview.
Selecting and Editing Bookmarks
- Click any bookmark in the panel to instantly switch the viewport to that saved view.
- Adjust the camera position, angle, or settings as needed.
- Click "Update Bookmark" to save your changes — this overwrites the previous settings for that bookmark.
Duplicating a Bookmark
To create a variation of an existing bookmark:
- Select the bookmark you want to use as a starting point.
- Make your adjustments.
- Click "+ New Bookmark" instead of "Update Bookmark" to save it as a separate bookmark.
- Give the new bookmark a distinctive name.
Organizing Bookmarks
The bookmark panel displays bookmarks in order. For an efficient workflow:
- Use clear names — Name bookmarks descriptively (e.g., "Front Quarter", "Detail — Handle").
- Create logical sequences — Arrange bookmarks in a natural viewing order.
- Maintain consistency — Use similar camera positions across product lines for cohesive imagery.
- Remove unnecessary bookmarks — Keep the panel focused on the views you actually need.
Tip: Once you've created the ideal set of bookmarks for a product, you can save those settings as a template and apply them to other products in your catalog for consistent imagery across your product line.
