Using Glossi StudioPhoto Mode
Managing Angles
Angles are saved camera setups that remember everything about how you're viewing your model — camera position and rotation, focal length, focus, exposure settings, and product positioning. They're at the core of Photo mode's efficiency.
Creating Angles
To create a new angle:
- Use the viewport controls to position your camera — orbit, pan, and zoom until you have the view you want.
- Adjust camera settings in the right sidebar — focal length, exposure, and depth of field.
- Click "New angle" in the bottom panel.
- Enter a descriptive name (e.g., "Front Detail", "Top Down View").
Your camera position and all current settings are saved. The new angle will appear in the panel with a thumbnail preview.
Selecting and Editing Angles
- Click any angle in the panel to instantly switch the viewport to that saved view.
- Adjust the camera position, rotation, or settings as needed.
- Click "Save Angle" to save your changes — this overwrites the previous settings for that angle.
Duplicating an Angle
To create a variation of an existing angle:
- Select the angle you want to use as a starting point.
- Make your adjustments.
- Click "New angle" instead of "Save Angle" to save it as a separate angle.
- Give the new angle a distinctive name.
Organizing Angles
The bottom panel displays angles in order. For an efficient workflow:
- Use clear names — Name angles descriptively (e.g., "Front Quarter", "Detail — Handle").
- Create logical sequences — Arrange angles in a natural viewing order.
- Maintain consistency — Use similar camera positions across product lines for cohesive imagery.
- Remove unnecessary angles — Keep the panel focused on the views you actually need.
Tip: Once you've created the ideal set of angles for a product, you can save those settings as a template and apply them to other products in your catalog for consistent imagery across your product line.
