Edit a render with AI

Create controlled visual variations while keeping the original render and its version history intact.

AI editing starts from a finished render. Use it to explore a setting, extend an approved look, or make a localized change without rebuilding the 3D scene for every candidate.

The original render remains the reference. Every generated result becomes a related version that you can compare, keep, or discard.

Choose the right tool

Use Studio when the change must be exact in 3D: product geometry, camera framing, material assignment, lighting position, or object placement.

Use AI Edit when the change is interpretive: a surrounding environment, supporting detail, atmosphere, visual treatment, or a bounded alteration to a finished image.

AI can drift from the source product. References, annotations, and placement checks reduce that risk; they do not guarantee product fidelity.

Start an edit

  1. Open a completed image in Renders.
  2. Choose AI Edit.
  3. Describe the change in direct visual language.
  4. Add any supported references, annotations, layout guidance, or saved style.
  5. Generate candidates.
  6. Compare the result with the source before accepting it.

Write a useful instruction

Describe what should change and what should remain stable.

Weak: Make this more premium.

Stronger: Place the product on a dark stone plinth in a quiet gallery. Keep the product position, proportions, logo, and camera angle unchanged.

Name concrete materials, locations, lighting, and composition. Avoid stacking several unrelated art-direction changes into one request. A smaller edit is easier to evaluate and easier to repeat.

Add control where it matters

Depending on the edit workflow, you can combine:

  • Reference images for visual direction
  • AI Styles saved in the workspace
  • Annotations that identify the exact region to change
  • Layout guides that constrain composition
  • Lighting direction derived from supported reference inputs
  • Product-placement validation that checks supported candidates against the source position

Use only the controls that clarify the decision. More inputs do not automatically create a better result.

Compare before you deliver

Move between the source and generated version at full size. Inspect:

  • silhouette and proportion
  • logo and label integrity
  • material boundaries
  • small hardware and seams
  • contact shadows and reflections
  • crop and product placement

Reject a candidate if the product has changed in a way the brief did not authorize. When exactness matters, make the correction in Studio and render again.

Save a useful reference treatment as an AI Style when you expect to apply that direction again. A saved style gives the next edit a shared visual source, but every result still needs review against its product.

Create and use AI Styles

Work with image and video

Image workflows can create prompt-directed derivatives and supported style variations. Video workflows can animate a still or apply supported changes to an existing clip. Available controls differ by media type and workspace plan.

Success state

The edit is ready when it advances the brief, preserves the product details that matter, and remains attached to the correct source version.
