Showroom
The Showroom is a customer-facing product configurator powered by your Glossi projects. You add models to the showroom, set display names and pricing, and define which materials customers can choose from. Your customers then interact with the showroom to explore products, swap materials, and see pricing update in real time.
Accessing Showroom Settings
Open Settings from the sidebar, then select Showroom. The settings page has two tabs:
- Models -- Manage which products appear in your showroom.
- Settings -- Configure branding and copy shown to customers.
Configuring Branding
The Settings tab lets you customize the text and branding displayed in your customer-facing showroom. Every field is optional -- leave a field blank and it won't appear.
| Field | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Brand | Your brand name displayed in the showroom header. |
| Collection label | A label for the current product collection (e.g. "Spring 2025"). |
| Index label | The label for the product index/gallery view. |
| Edition | An edition or version label (e.g. "Edition 01"). |
| Empty-state title | Heading shown when the showroom has no products. |
| Empty-state body | Description shown below the empty-state title. |
Below the fields, you'll find an Apply brand to new projects checkbox. When enabled, any model you add to the showroom will automatically inherit the brand name you've set here, so you don't have to enter it for every product individually.
Click Save settings to apply your changes.
Adding Models to the Showroom
From the Models tab, click Add Model in the top-right corner. A modal opens showing all models in your library that aren't already in the showroom. Search by name if you have a large library, then click a model to add it.
Once added, the model appears as a card in the showroom grid. Click any card to open its detail page where you can configure how it appears to customers.
Configuring a Showroom Product
Click a product card to open its detail page. Here you can configure several aspects of how the product appears in the showroom.
Details
Set the customer-facing information for this product:
- Display name -- The product name shown to customers. If left blank, the project name is used.
- Brand -- Override the showroom-level brand for this specific product.
- Base price -- The starting price for the product.
Click Save details after making changes.
Thumbnail
Choose which render to use as the product's card image in the showroom gallery. Click a render to select it. If no render is selected, the default project thumbnail is used. You need to create renders in the Studio first before they appear here.
Variants
If your model has variants (e.g. different sizes or colorways), you can name and price each one here. For each variant, set:
- Name -- A customer-facing label for the variant.
- Price -- The price for this variant. This is an absolute price, not a delta from the base price.
Variant names and prices live on the model itself, so changes apply everywhere the model is used. If your model doesn't have variants yet, add them in the Studio first.
Surfaces
Surfaces are the key to the showroom's material customization experience. A surface represents a customizable region of the product -- for example, the upper, sole, or logo area of a shoe. Each surface accepts a curated set of materials, and when a customer picks a material for a surface, it applies to every underlying material slot bound to that surface.
Creating a surface:
- Click Add surface at the top of the section.
- Enter a display name (e.g. "Upper", "Sole", "Logo").
- Click Create.
Managing a surface:
Click a surface to expand it. From here you can:
- Rename -- Edit the display name and click Rename.
- Delete -- Remove the surface. Any groups assigned to it become unassigned.
- Set allowed materials -- Select which materials from your workspace library are available for this surface. Click the material cards to toggle them on or off, then click Save materials.
Assigning groups to surfaces:
Below the surfaces list, the Groups section shows all of the model's material groups. Use the dropdown next to each group to assign it to a surface. When a customer picks a material for a surface, the change applies to every group assigned to that surface. Groups with no surface assignment can't be customized in the showroom.
Note: Material groups are captured when you first load the model in the Studio. If you don't see any groups listed, open the project in the Studio once, then return to this page.
Removing a Product
To remove a product from the showroom, open its detail page and click Remove from Showroom in the top-right corner. This removes the product from the customer-facing showroom but does not delete the underlying project or model.
