Organize models with properties

Properties are the dimensions your workspace organises models by: Season, Category, Line, Material, whatever you actually filter on. Your workspace defines them once, every model can carry a value for each, and the Models page filters, counts, and searches on them.

Tags still exist and are still useful. The difference is structure. A tag is a free label anyone can add; a property has a type, a fixed set of options, and one place to change them. If you find yourself tagging models ss26, fw26, ss27, that tag family has become a dimension, and a property will serve it better.

Define properties

Go to Settings → Properties. Workspace owners and admins can add and edit properties; every member can see the list and set values on models.

Click New property, name it, and pick a type:

Select - One value from a list, for example Season: SS26 or FW26. A model can't carry two at once.
Multi-select - Any number of values from a list, for example Materials: Leather, Rubber, Canvas.
Text, Number, Date - Free values typed on each model, for example Supplier, Weight, or Launch date.

For the two select types, add the options as you create the property; you can add more later. Each option can have a colour, shown as a small dot wherever the value appears.

Show on cards puts a property's values on the model card's meta line under the name. At most two properties per asset type can be shown this way, so choose the two you scan for most.

Curate options

Open a select property to change its options:

Rename an option in place. Models that carry it update automatically; values reference the option, not its spelling.
Colour - click the dot to pick a swatch, or clear it.
Archive an option to retire it. It leaves the pickers, but models that already carry it keep showing it. Restore it from the Archived list at any time.
Merge one option into another when two mean the same thing. Every model carrying the first moves to the second, and the first disappears.

Adding an option that already exists is refused so you don't end up with two spellings of one value.

Order, archive, restore

Use the up and down arrows on the Properties list to set the order. It's the order the rows appear in on every model page.

Archive a property you no longer use. It disappears from model pages and from the Filter menu, but its values are kept, so restoring it brings everything back exactly as it was. A workspace can have up to 30 properties, each with up to 200 options.

Set values on a model

Open a model page and find the Properties block. There is one row per property, in the order set in Settings.

Select and multi-select rows open a picker. Choose a value and it saves immediately.
Text, number, and date rows are typed in place and save when you click away. A non-number in a Number field is refused.
Clear a value from its picker or by emptying the field.

The Model Details modal and the quick-look pane on the Models page show the properties that have a value.

Set values on many models at once

Select models on the Models page and choose Set property on the selection bar. Pick a property, then the value. Each option shows how many of the selected models already carry it.

A select property replaces whatever each model had.
A multi-select property adds to what each model had, so nothing already set is lost.
Clear on all removes the property from every selected model.

Find models by property

On the Models page the Filter menu lists every select and multi-select property with its options and a count of how many models match each one. Pick any combination: different properties combine with AND, values within one property with OR. A No value row finds models that haven't been given one yet.

Search matches property values too, so typing an option's name or a supplier's name finds the models that carry it.
