Managing Bookmarks

Working with Bookmarks

Bookmarks are at the core of Photo Mode's efficiency. Think of bookmarks as "saved camera setups" that remember everything about how you're viewing and capturing your 3D model.

This comprehensive approach lets you create consistent, professional product imagery across your entire catalog. For example, once you've created the perfect three-quarter view for one chair model, you can apply that exact same bookmark to all other chairs in your collection.

Each bookmark saves:

  • Camera position and angle

  • Focal length and focus settings

  • Product position and rotation

  • Lighting setup

  • Exposure settings

Creating Bookmarks

To create a new bookmark:

  1. Use the viewport navigation controls to position your camera:

    • Left-click and drag to orbit around your model

    • Right-click and drag to pan

    • Scroll to zoom in/out

  2. Adjust camera settings in the Edit Panel:

    • Set focal length to control perspective

    • Configure exposure settings (auto or manual)

    • Adjust depth of field if desired

  3. Click "+ New Bookmark" in the timeline bar

    • Enter a descriptive name (e.g., "Front Detail" or "Top Down View")

    • Your current camera position and settings are now saved

Your new bookmark will appear in the timeline with a thumbnail preview.

Selecting and Editing Bookmarks

To work with existing bookmarks:

  1. Click on any bookmark in the timeline to instantly switch to that view

  2. Make adjustments to camera position, angle, or settings

  3. Click "Update Bookmark" to save your changes (this overwrites the previous settings for that bookmark)

If you want to duplicate original bookmark to create a variation:

  1. Select the bookmark to use as your starting point

  2. Immediately click "+ New Capture" instead of "Update Bookmark"

  3. Give your new bookmark a distinctive name

Organizing Bookmarks

The timeline displays your bookmarks in order. For an efficient and flexible workflow:

  • Use Clear Names: Name bookmarks descriptively ("Front Quarter", "Detail - Handle")

  • Create Logical Sequences: Arrange bookmarks in a natural viewing order

  • Maintain Consistency: Use similar camera positions across product lines

  • Remove Unnecessary Bookmarks: Keep your timeline focused
